About The Messy CEO

Built for brains like yours (and mine)

I’m not the kind of entrepreneur who color-codes her calendar and checks every box before noon.

I’m the one who forgets the calendar even exists, hyperfocuses for 6 hours straight, and then needs three days to recover.

I’m also the kind who builds businesses anyway.

Hi, I’m Erika, and I created The Messy CEO because I was tired of seeing every productivity system, planner, and business strategy built for brains that don’t work like mine.

The ADHD Solopreneur Journey (a.k.a. How It Started)

Like a lot of neurodivergent business owners, I’ve got a head full of big ideas and a to-do list that’s more “theoretical” than “functional.” I’ve burned out more than once. I’ve wasted days chasing dopamine instead of deadlines. I’ve bought every template, planner, and course—only to abandon most of them by week two.

Eventually, I realized something important:

I wasn’t the problem.

The system was.

Why The Messy CEO Exists

The Messy CEO is a cozy corner of the internet for solopreneurs with beautifully chaotic brains.

It’s where you’ll find:

  • Brain-safe tools that don’t punish your executive dysfunction

  • Celebration checklists for when you actually get stuff done

  • Joyful routines that leave room for rest, dopamine, and real life

Whether you’re a business newbie, mid-pivot, or in a burnout spiral, you’re welcome here with all your brilliance, your mess, and your Post-its stuck to every surface.

My Approach

Productivity doesn’t have to mean “do more.”

It can mean:

  • Finishing one thing that matters

  • Rebuilding trust in yourself

  • Celebrating the hell out of small wins

I believe in working with your brain, not against it.

And I believe you don’t have to “fix” yourself to build something incredible.
